Concerts (Arkells, Lights, Tommy Trash). Clubsfest. Faculty Day. Sidewalk Sale. Shinerama. SOCS and PJs. MacQuest. Faculty Day. Iris. Airbands. Community Involvement Projects. Airbands. The list goes on and on….and on.
It’s the one week every year that you meet more new people than you can keep track of; attend awesome concerts for free; hardly get any sleep; find out there is in fact a Quidditch club at your University (and about 300 other clubs); get a ton of free swag; scream until you nearly lose your voice in an attempt to win the faculty cup (congrats Health Sci!); and kick off what will likely be some of the best years of your life.
It’s Welcome Week, and 2013 was what many are saying has been McMaster’s best Welcome Week yet.
CFMU was out in the middle of the action all week long, talking to new and returning Mac students and getting the latest campus updates.
Check out pictures below of just a few of the Welcome Week highlights.
Also, be sure to tune in to tomorrow’s Morningfile – find out if students were able to correctly answer Arkells and Lights trivia at Friday’s concert; hear from SOCS (Society of Off Campus Students) president Sean Sears at the “SOCS and PJs” event; and learn more about the McMaster Students Union and your MSU president, David Campbell – busy show, but it was a busy Welcome Week – what more do you expect?!
Huge congratulations to the McMaster Students Union, Campus Events, and everyone involved in making this years Welcome Week a huge success!
