Alysha, aka DJ Aerlie Wild and host of Wild South, interviewed Tim Bradford, a roots musician from Northern Ontario. Tim has contributed to live music in Canada for more than 15 years now, living in BC and Alberta until discovering the old-time string band scene in Toronto, where he now lives and performs regularly.
“Drinking Alone” is his debut full-length album about denial, rediscovery, and the many parties in between. It was recorded in Toronto and co-produced with Michael Olsen (Ohbijou, Arcade Fire). With 10 original songs (plus one by Merle Haggard), “Drinking Alone” weaves between rockabilly, Texas shuffles, Bakersfield, and Appalachian tendencies.
Guest DJ Tim Bradford shares 5 of his favourite songs:
Corin Raymond – Blue Mermaid Dress – There Will Always Be A Small Time
Gary Stewart – Drinkin’ Thing – RCA Country Legends
George Jones – Burn Another Honky Tonk Down – Heartaches and Hangovers
Buck Owens – My Heart Skips A Beat – All-Time Greatest Hits
Ray Price – Heart Over Mind – The Essential Ray Price
