Synergy is a summer experience program at McMaster University for students in grades 5 to 12. The program is offered by the DeGroote School of Business (DSB), spear-headed by Assistant Marketing Professor, Mandeep Malik. This year, the program was built on three main pillars: entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability.
The three project coordinators, Lydia Vanderkooy, Anna Pocrnick, and Mackenzie Nolan, came on the Morningfile earlier today to talk about what the program can offer students that sign up. Each two week session provides participants with various experiential learning opportunities, from Photoshop lessons at the Lyons New Media Centre, to practicing trading stocks at the trading centres in DSB.
There are 4 sessions for Elementary and High School students, for $575 each:
Session 1: June 29th – July 10th
Session 2: July 13th – July 24th
Session 3: July 27th – August 7th
Session 4: August 10th – August 21st
There will also be a special 1 week session for incoming DeGroote School of Business frosh, on August 24th – August 28th, for the lower cost of $225.
