Because Beer is back in Hamilton for a second time on July 10-11, 2015 at Hamilton’s scenic Pier 4 Park. CFMU’s Jamie Tennant sat down with co-founder of Because Beer, Brandi MacDonald, to talk about the exciting things to come.
The festivities begin this Friday with a new pop-up event, Because Beer’s Local Libations. The 19+ event will feature top homegrown beer and cider makers, showcasing Hamilton rising stars Clifford Brewing Co., Collective Arts Brewing, Garden Brewers, The Hamilton Brewery, and West Avenue Cider Company.
The best part? Entry is free, with reasonably priced sample tokens (three for $10 or five for $15) for five-ounce pours. So come out this Friday, and chat with the makers one-on-one while savouring some liquid gold.
The festival organizers have also added several other new features to the festival, all designed to deepen craft beer lovers’ appreciation of the art of brewing. With more breweries this year – a total of 30! – and VIP exclusives, the 2015 festival is sure to top last year’s.
