Festival of Friends Celebrates 40 Years of Summer Fun

The Festival of Friends is one of Hamilton’s oldest outdoor music, art and crafts festivals, celebrating its 40th anniversary this summer. The festival caters to a wide audience, with music from various genres and time periods, unique vendors, and fun children’s activities.

A newer addition to the festival is the Festival of Friends Music Museum, which houses autographs, images, artifacts, and other cool mementos. Just like the rest of the festival, entrance to the museum is entirely free!

Festival director Loren Lieberman came on the morningfile last week to chat about this year’s upcoming festival and the various artists performing over the Aug 7-9 weekend at the Ancaster Fairgrounds. Check out the sound clip below to listen in!

For more information, you can also visit the Festival of Friends website – which includes a performance schedule, directions, and more, or find them on Facebook or Twitter.
