Are you excited about eating local? How about listening to live local music? Or maybe you’re in the mood for some pumpkin carving? Come out to MUSC Mills Plaza for McMaster’s first Local Food Fest, next Wednesday October 7th, from 11 am to 3 pm, and experience all of that and more!
You really don’t want to miss out on what the MSU, SRA University Affairs Committee, Mac Farmstand, Mac Breadbin, McMaster Office of the President, OPIRG McMaster, and the McMaster Alumni Association have come together to create. This open air festival in front of Mills Library features live music, fun games, pumpkin carving, local food exhibitors, and the Farmstand local food market.
Drop by and stay for as little or as long as you like, and meet exhibitors from our local food community who can answer your questions about eating local, sustainable food options, and where to get what you want!
Interested in showing off YOUR musical talent? Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for a chance to perform on October 7th.
Ingie Metwally had Mac Farmstand Coordinator Jonathon Patterson and Community Outreach Coordinator Ashleigh Patterson come on the Morningfile to chat about the festival and the importance of eating local. Check out the full interview below.
