CityKidz Hamilton is all about the kids in our city! Their goal is to develop leaders in our community by helping children realize their full potential. CityKidz inspires children to dream big dreams through the various programming that they offer, providing an entertaining, meaningful, and highly effective experience that instills lasting values in children.
Week-to-week CityKidz holds home visits as well as CityKidz and KinderKidz Saturdays, where the children are picked up from their homes in a big red bus, brought to a theatre to enjoy a fun and interactive show, and fed a nutritious meal.
Throughout the year CityKidz also holds special events for the children and the community, such as the Big Dream Banquet that is coming up in November.
Ingie, the CFMU Outreach Coordinator, had Susan Morris on the Morningfile to chat about the impact CityKidz has had on Hamilton children, and their partnership event coming up this weekend, the Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope! Check out the sound clip below to listen to the full interview.
Visit the CityKidz website if you’d like to find out more about them and how to volunteer, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter. If you’re interested in signing up for Road2Hope, all details can be found on their website.
