ADHD = ‎Intellectual Superpower‬ + ‎Cognitive Diversity‬‪

CFMU spoke to Maria and Selena from ShiftingGears on their educational awareness campaign on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, commonly known as ADHD. The discussion went into depth on how individuals can develop this condition, the differences between ADHD and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and how differently the conditions can affect individuals.

The girls also touched upon the societal, economical, neuropsychological, medicinal, and educational factors of ADHD, highlighted some controversies and myths surrounding the disorder, and even referenced “ADHD As A Difference In Cognition, Not A Disorder: Stephen Tonti at TEDxCMU” TED Talk, pointing out how ADHD can actually be viewed as a superpower!
