Are you obsessed with the show Dragon’s Den? Or even Shark Tank? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this is definitely for you!
Did you know that the Halton Region has its very own contest that allows you to turn your ideas into reality? It’s called Python’s Pit and it’s awesome! Python’s Pit provides an avenue for creative and entrepreneurial residents in the area to pitch their concepts and product ideas to a panel of business moguls. What’s even cooler is that YOU can be in the audience! And what’s even COOLER is that YOU can be on TV since it’s all going to be broadcast by Cogeco. Oh, and did I mention that it’s FREE to attend?
The event will be taking place on Wednesday, May 25th from 7PM – 9PM at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre. Once again, admission is FREE and the doors open at 6:30PM.
Oh, and in-case you’re wondering what exactly contestants are competing for, this year they can win $20,000 cash in start-up capital and a package of in-kind professional services to help them launch their business!
Mark had the chance to speak with Tiffany Priddle (Project Coordinator) from Interkom, and she told us all about the contest and how entrepreneurship can benefit youth in our community. In case you weren’t able to catch the full interview on-air, check it out below:
