At Dundurn they use what the garden produces in their historic Kitchen for programming and public education.
Earlier this week, Tumi sat down for an interview with Victoria Bick, who is the Kitchen Garden Coordinator at the Durndurn National Historic site. She has been working at Dundurn since 2006 when she started as a summer student, in 2015 became the kitchen Garden Coordinator.
Victoria Talked about how valuable it is to have such an historic site, as it has become a tourist attraction in the city of Hamilton. During Christmas seasons, they are several events and tours like the “Victorian Christmas”, “Ring in The New Year” and so much more. This is a great way to spend the Christmas break. Did I mention, it is totally family oriented!
