McMaster Engineers Presents: The Global Engineering Conference 2017

McMaster Global Engineering Conference (GEC) is an event organized by McMaster Univeristy engineering students in other to educate and discuss issues vital to Health care  in relation to engineering innovations in our medical communities.

Engineering is an interdisciplinary field which has an important impact on several fields including healthcare. This conference will be themed around a central question: How is engineering driving innovation within the healthcare field?

Tumi Adegoroye sat down for an interview with Maria Tauqir and Lina Kabbani a few days ago, as they discussed GEC as well as the importance of this conference. The two co-directors of GEC explained that it is vital to have such an event so that healthcare professionals and engineers can work together to bring about change in the Health Care system, as well as to discuss and educate individuals about some changing health care needs.

There will be expert panelists, engaging workshops and two keynote speakers at this conference where students will get the opportunity to network with professional, organizations and other students. Maria and Lina also mentioned some of the sponsors of GEC, they include MSU, MED LIFE, Engineers Without Borders and many more.

The Global Engineering Conference is on SaturdayMarch 11th from 9:00 am – 5:30 am at the McMaster Innovation Park. Tickets are $10 and are also sold on eventbrite.
